About Us
Good To Go is a vegan natural grocery, deli and espresso bar all rolled into one lively hub of activity and community. It is owned by vegan husband and wife team Timmy and Sherie Maddox, who are as surprised as anyone about how busy their little store has become.
“People told us that a vegan store would never work in a rural town like Port Angeles, surrounded as it is by thousands of acres of hunting and fishing areas,” says Sherie. “We thought they might be right. And we figured that there weren’t enough vegans in this small town of 19,000 to support our store.”
Rather than selling the store in order to live more in alignment with their beliefs, the Maddoxes decided instead to stop selling products they wouldn’t eat or use themselves. “I used to eat just about anything,” says Timmy, laughing. “I still do, but now I make sure there are no animal products in it. We all have our opinions, right? For me, I think animals deserve kindness, not cruelty.”
Good To Go isn’t just for vegans. The espresso bar provides coffee lovers with organic, fair-trade, locally roasted coffee, and a variety of milks, like soy, almond, rice, oat and hemp. The mostly-organic deli bustles at lunchtime, with wraps, sandwiches and hearty soups flying out the door. Organic all-fruit smoothies, yogurt parfaits and breakfast sandwiches are delicious any time of day. Non-food items include cruelty-free health and beauty products, yoga supplies, and cards and jewelry crafted by local artists.
Good To Go is nestled in the sunny foothills of Port Angeles, with a view looking out to Victoria, B.C., the San Juan Islands and Western Washington. Stay and picnic on our lawn or, if you’re in a hurry, use our handy drive-thru. Yes, you can get anything in the store through our friendly window…except beer and wine…you have to walk a straight line into the store to get that!

Here are the two reasons why we’re closed on the weekends! We’re open 8-6 weekdays.
